| Terms & Conditions
Definitions: |
| These terms and conditions say how we, Euro Rep Limited, will trade with you, our customer. We hope the document has been written so that everyone is perfectly clear about what they are doing and know what is expected of them. The terms and conditions say under what circumstances trade, the buying and selling of goods and services, will take place between us and you. |
| Basis of Sale Contract |
| We aim to trade in a legal and fair way that is easily understood by all the people concerned. Nothing is designed to limit what you are legally or even reasonably entitled to. We will supply you with goods and services if you order them and provided they are in stock. In advertising our goods and services and providing the opportunity to enter into trade with us, we are making an offer of contract. This is a legally binding process through which we can trade together. In placing an order with us, it is understood that you wish to trade with us and accept the contract. From then on we have the responsibility to provide you with what you have asked for and you are obliged to pay. There are certain exceptions and provisions and it is these, that this document seeks to define. |
Prices & Discounts |
| The prices for the goods and services offered are advertised in various places. Our price lists, our web page and occasional promotion offers being some of them. Prices change and the price charged will be that in operation at the time of invoicing. This may reflect a recent price increase or a current special offer. Prices are correct at the time of publishing but may change after that. |
| VAT |
| VAT is charged at the current rate for all liable items. A code explaining the different rates is given on invoices and statements. All retail prices are quoted to include VAT. |
| Orders |
| Once placed they will be dispatched as soon as possible, usually the next day unless specified for dispatch on a particular date. |
Payment |
| Orders must be prepaid. |
| Carriage & Delivery |
| Delivery methods include the post and specialist carriers. We have obtained special approval to send live foods through the post. Some heavy or bulky items may be delivered by our own van if the destination can be included on our rounds and the quantity is an economical proposition. Delivery is part of the service we provide to get the goods you have ordered to you. It is usually an additional charge added to the cost of the goods you have purchased. VAT is applied to carriage and delivery. |
Defective Goods & Returns |
| Anything found to be unsatisfactory on arrival, must be reported back to us within one working day (24 hrs.). Exchanges or credit notes will then be issued. We cannot normally replace or exchange anything reported back to us after this 24 hour period. (It does not include week ends or Bank Holidays.) |
| Packaging & Labelling |
We will send the goods ordered by you, the customer, to the address you supply. You are expected to receive the goods so that they do no deteriorate. Loss or damage caused by a delay that you are responsible for will be at your risk and cost. We will pack and label the goods sent to comply with all the relevant legislation and requirements. We also accept that you will receive the goods as arranged and not break the trust we place in you by failing to make arrangements.
Pictures used in advertising or descriptions may not depict the exact colour or packaging used. Where a range of sizes or colours are available, a representative example may be illustrated that does not exactly depict the item purchased. |
Risk & Property |
| We will take all reasonable actions to reduce any risks associated with our goods and services. Some risk we will not be able to eliminate and we sell these items with the proviso that the purchaser knowingly accepts the risk involved as part of the purchase contract. We will provide the best advice we can to minimise risk and will not knowingly pass on anything you cannot reasonably cope with. |
Live foods & frozen foods |
Live foods and frozen foods constitute a special class of goods. Live foods are guaranteed to arrive alive and in good condition. A surplus is often packed to make up for the occasional loss in transport. Any guarantee covers the supply of an advertised amount of insects, so there may or may not be some dead insects that are not part of the agreement. Because of the inherent nature of live foods, Euro Rep will not credit or exchange any live foods reported unsuitable after 24 hours. We will, however, give you the best advice on how to keep it in prime condition.
Frozen foods are packed frozen but may not remain frozen for the entire journey. Even though frozen foods may arrive still frozen, the frozen state is not guaranteed. Defrosted foods are not returnable for credit or exchange. Frozen foods may not be packed and shipped together with live foods as livestock might not be able to tolerate the cold. |
| General |
| If any condition in this document is found to be illegal or otherwise invalid we will remove it immediately. Removing one item, however, does not invalidate any of the other conditions by which we trade. Our business is governed by the Laws of England. Euro Rep is a member of the Pet Care Trust and follows the PCT Code of Practice. |
