Good Vivariums, easy to clean, hold humidity well, nicely made and pleasing to look at. However they are expensive, and more disappointingly difficult to heat. Being injection moulded plastic they have what is known in the industry as a low R value. This means it is difficult to get them to hold heat, and the heat loss from them is substantial. I was heating mine with 100w ceramic heaters, but have now had to go for 250w in an attempt to try and heat them up enough. Given the price these vivariums cost this is a disappointing aspect of owning them, because you will need a powerful heat source to heat them properly. I keep Green Tree Pythons in mine and they need an average temperature of 84-86 degrees.
Currently it is only reading 74! I believe their is a double walled plastic vivarium on the market from America, which supposedly insulates a lot better. If only they were sold over here.
